Chapter 13 is an introduction to Creo Simulate and FEA. Chapter 11 deals with family tables used when similar parts are to be designed or used. Chapters nine and ten deal with assemblies and assembly drawings. Chapters seven, eight, and 12 deal with dimensioning and tolerancing an engineering part. The essential 3D CAD solution which includes breakthough capabilities in Creo includes in Additive Manufacturing, IoT, Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Augmented R. The meat of this text, learning the basic Creo Parametric software, is found in Chapters three through six. PTC Creo 7 is a powerful CAD solution that provides a rich set of design, analysis and simulation tools to process different products designs. It was one of the first major solid modelers to enter the CAD market and greatly impact the industry. The first two chapters of this book describe the design process. Creo is a computer-aided design (CAD) program that was initially released in 1987 as Pro/ENGINEER by the company Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). Currently, all Feature control frame annotations can be viewed via the Calypso but all the rest of the model based dimensions are missing. Although FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is used in this textbook, its theory is not covered. We are facing compatibility issues with Zeiss Calypso software where we intend to export the model based dimensions from creo to the software (Calypso).
